It is my commitment to serve you with honesty and integrity. I also pledge to help you overcome any roadblocks that can arise while securing a loan. I am determined to get an amazing loan with great rates and the fewest closing costs possible for you.

In order to help you make an informed decision about who you select as your mortgage advisor, I would like to tell you a little bit more about me. I currently reside in Sebastopol, California, which has been home to my family for six generations. I graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) with highest honors and selected as valedictorian. I then transferred to University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Global Poverty.

In 2010 I founded Children’s Humanitarian International (CHI), a nonprofit grass-roots organization that serves as an advocate for sustainable education and which provides educational opportunities and school supplies to children in developing countries. In addition, CHI runs a Summer Abroad program for Sonoma and Napa County high school students, sending a small group – most on scholarships – to study, work, and get five priceless weeks of first-hand exposure to developing countries at the CHI Academy in Kenya.

Among the numerous awards from both SRJC and UC Berkeley that I have received are the Cal Alumni Leadership Award and – for my work in the developing world – the Blum Center for Developing Economies Fellowship.

I also currently serve as the Vice President on Sonoma County Junior College District Board of Trustees and also serve on the Board of West County Community Services, a multi-service agency for western Sonoma County that provides a range of counseling and support services for seniors, adults, youth and children.

I am married to an amazing wife, Jennifer Branham-Burns, who is the co-owner of Laguna Farm, just south of Sebastopol, whose Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) program serves over 400 Sonoma County families with produce boxes. In addition to our son, Cody, a high school student, I am also father to two sons from a previous marriage – Joe and Ezekiel, both students at SRJC.

I hope this brief introduction of myself helps you understand who I am, and my commitment to you. If you have any questions, or would like to just learn more about the programs I offer, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
